ODL's History

The Organization for the Development of Lascahobas, Inc. (ODL) was founded in Brooklyn New York on April 21, 1990 by a group of young Lascahobassians living in the New-York and Boston areas.  A call for support by a soccer team from Lascahobas to Patrick Tertulien prompted him to team up with his longtime friend Roland Simon in order to reach as many Lascahobas natives as possible to come to the soccer team help.
But at that initial meeting, on April 7, 1990, something magical happened.  Those presents wanted to go beyond helping a soccer team; they wanted to do a little bit more.  Young and olds joined hands to attempt to help Lascahobas: ODL was born.
The organization is currently licensed and incorporated in the State of New York.  It has also obtained a non-profit organization status and tax exemption privilege from the Internal Revenue Services under section 501(c) (3).

ODL's Mission

The main goal of ODL is to rally all caring individuals and organizations to the cause of the people of Lascahobas.  We, at ODL, hope to gather enough resources to enable us to help the children and people of Lascahobas-Haïti in the domain of education, health and other basic necessities.  Furthermore, ODL will support and/or work with any other non-profit organization dedicated to the cause of Lascahobas.
